Iron Man (movie)

Superhero movies are becoming grittier and grittier and "Iron Man" is one of them. By the way, who imagined Robert Downey Jr. to be a superhero anyway? He is not young anymore, not conventionally good-looking and not exactly a box-office tyrant. I guess that is the definition of "gritty".

So what is new about this movie? Nothing really. It is current though--like many Hollywood movies, it paints a very ugly picture of Middle Easterns. The only good thing about is though this phobia of Middle Easterns keep the Middle Eastern actors in the US employed.

So what is good about this movie? Well, the storyline is not as dull as the Fantastic Four series. And Stan Lee appears as one of his mastubatory fantasies, Hugh Hefner.

This is actually a great movie to watch if you are into special effects and underutilized acting of a talented actor like Terence Howard and Downey.
