Confessions (DVD)

I never thought that a recorded live concert will be this visually stunning. I do not know what types of technology they have used on this concert but it sure is the best I have seen so far. Slow mos, though numerous, are tastefully done. Overlapping images do not look exxagerated. I think this won't cause seizures but then I am not an expert.

I have watched the controversial crucifixion scene and I do not understand what the fuss is all about. It is done in a positive and sensitive way (the plight of AIDS orphans in the African continent). We have done so many crucifixions in the Philippines and all of them are done because the penetants are asking God some very personal and very selfish favors.

This is a must-have for all Madonna and concert fans because I have never seen anything like it.

Hi there, don't you think the reason that it the crucifixion was ill advised was because Madonna is comparing herself to Jesus. The last time I saw that was when Michael Jackson did it - he didn't survive for much longer! Ego gone a bit too far. Otherwise really liked the video too. Jumping dancers amazing. Preferred her Drowned World Tour video if I had to choose :)

I do not think she is comparing herself to Jesus. So many people have been crucified in movies and even in real life. Did anyone give James Caviezel a hard time? Did anyone give those Filipinos (who crucified themselves last Good Friday) a hard time? Willem Dafoe's career is still alive.

I am sorry but I do not take Christianity that seriously. I actually do not take any religious seriously.

By the way, "The Girlie Show" is a very nice concert as well. Drowned World Tour is a bit too flashy.
